I bought this in July and have had to have the ice maker replaced. Its still not making ice They have said a LG tech would reach us to set up time and day. So far we have not heard from them. Been over a week since they told me this. Makes no ice or just two drops of ice.

Decent fridge except the door shelves

Fridge is fine except the door shelves break too easily. 40$ for a replacement. Not very sturdy at least to hold mustard and ketchup. If LG has upgraded their quality this would be a 4.5/5. Its such an annoying hassle to not have the door shelves.

When we first got our new fridge we had very warm water out of the dispenser on the door. I gave it two weeks to fix and it didnt. So I contacted customer service and they told me it would be something that is not covered under the warranty so they went through different steps to fix it but they never did. So to this date we have had it since August 1st and it still has warm water coming out. :

Loved the look - but needed repairs at one year

I love the look of this refrigerator. It has all the features we were looking for when we purchased it from Home Depot.However less then a year later the fan for the ice maker went out and needed to be replaced. The repair was done quickly and we were back in business. Two months later the refrigerator started to make horrible noises we called for a repair and overnight the refrigerator stopped working - was not cooling the whole unit. The local repair person who was sent from LG said he would order the correct part - the fan assembly. We believed the part would be ordered locally but was told due to our warranty it had to be ordered from the LG Warehouse in Alabama - BUT it would be expedited according to the contract with LG and the repair shop. It took TWENTY days before the repair person could come back to our house with the part. Totally unacceptable - I called customer service at LG FOUR times and was told by customer service that the warehouse had 7 to 10 days to send out the part to Denver to the local repair company. We are very unhappy with the amount of time we were without our refrigerator and are actually very concerned about the quality of this product since we had a rough start at the one year mark of purchase.

Lg refrigerator and service are not very good. My refrigerator is under warranty the fan and possibly the compressor stopped working. I am a month without a refrigerator and still trying to get a service person to come to the house. Lg said a tech person will call. Never did. Just getting the run around. Local technicians wont touch Lg products. Remember this is under warranty poor service

Ive had this fridge for about 2 years and I love it. Until the craft ice maker had issues. I looked online found a fix and got it working again. After a while it stopped making ice. I turned it off to give it a rest and during that time the ice maker via its app contacted LG and said it was broke. LG sent me an email asking them to contact them to set up a time to have the ice maker replaced. I knew noon of this until I got the email. They came out quickly replaced the ice maker for free and Im loving the fridge again.

Terrible product qualitycalled continuously for repairs. Ice maker clumping ice in reservoir ice and condensation build up in bottom freezer door. LG has changed alot of parts but never fixes problems. Management doesnt care at alldont return callsdisappear after talking to them then nobody knows how to contact them again or thats part of the game they play. Didnt expect this type of response from a big company like LG.Buy a better brand.

Bought the refrigerator 10 months ago and the freezer defrost mode does not work and the fridge temperature goes 60 degrees. Called LG customerservice and they said it would take 3-5 working days to get a repair tech scheduled. 5 days later one was scheduled for a week later he came out said not repairable LG said they need a second opinion one was scheduled a week later and the repair tech said yes the freezer defrost was not working but could not repair it today since he was only called to do diagnostic and not repair and it would be another week before he could come a try to repair the unit. Terrible LG customer service will not buy another LG product because if something goes wrong during the warranty period they dont honor the warranty.

Expensive repairs for applicances 3 years old

Purchased three LG appliances 3 years ago. Within the past 5 days all three showed error codes. Also the refrigerator ice maker broke and the touch pad on the oven is broken. $350 just for the part to repair that. Dont know what it will cost to repair the refrigerator. Three years old These appliances are just terrible having to put money out for expensive repairs within three years is just ridiculous.

We bought this refrigerator about a month ago to replace our previous one that was failing. It is really close to the same model as our previous with improvements. We love the 2 drawer bottom freezer. We no longer have to dig for items and we are much less likely to forget what we have. It seems to store just as much. This refrigerator seems to be easier to organize. So far everything is fantastic. We dont need all the other fancy features offered by higher priced refrigerators as there are just the 2 of us.

It was good for almost 3 years then stopped cooling. LG sent an incompetent service tech. Replaced board condenser and compressor on day 20. Still broken and now the center flap burns your arm. Day 27 tech removed the new board he just replaced and put the old board that was to be recycled back on fridge and took the new one with him. Fridge and freezer are at 79. I have been in contact multiple times with LG and they keep giving me the runaround. If it cant be repaired then it needs to be replaced. How long should LG be allowed to torture loyal customers by not honoring the warranty. It is so difficult to live out of coolers for 33 days with small children. This is not fair to me or my children going without a fridge so far for 33 days. I was not gonna let LG ruin my childs birthday party. Still no word from LG. Customer service just keeps giving me new CNN numbers and promises of phone calls. No one ever calls. LGs negligence is unacceptable. The way the keep giving new CNN numbers must be their way of making the warranty problems disappear. If you cant track them they dont exist. I have always bought LG from phones to TVs and accessories to all our appliances. That is gonna change. Shame on you LG

I love this refrigerator I have always had a smaller model with a freezer on the side. I had to remove a cabinet above the refrigerator to make it fit and am so glad I did The amount of room I have with this model is amazing and I love the 2 freezer compartments.

Loved the size. Refrigerator is only 6 to 8 years old. It has stopped cooling. I have had issues with the icemaker twice already and purchasing another refrigerator and definitely not an LG. Contacted LG service and was towed it would cost $499 for someone to come out. Not putting any additional money into this refrigerator just for something else to happen again.

I purchased this refrigerator at the end of July 2024. I had a similar refrigerator prior to this one. When it was delivered the right hand door was damaged quite a bit. It took three weeks before I was able to get a representative and serviceman from LG to come down and replace it. I was very happy with his work and personality. The right hand door still does not close on its own. He explained to me that thats the style of the refrigerator. Needless to say I always walk in the other room only to hear the bells go off because the door is left open. Also I am very disappointed that it doesnt have a butter keeper. Im still struggling as to where to put the butter . I guess Im not quite sure why LG did not have a close door to keep the butter. Ive resorted to putting it in the deli drawer. I hope my experience from here on in will be more positive. I spent over $2000 this model and Im only wishing that I wouldve been more alert to the fact that it didnt have a butter keeper and the right hand door remains open.

I bought this product in Oct 2018. In Dec2023 the compressor failed. I paid over $600 to have it replaced. Again in June 2024 the compressor failed. Unfortunately the repair warranty was only for 90 days. This repair will cost over $500. Extremely disappointed.

I purchased this fridge three years ago. It has 5 years warranty. I paid for it about $3000 It stopped cooling 16 days ago. While the fridge itself is excellent the service has been extremely disappointing. Despite scheduling two service appointments no one has shown up to fix the issue. The product is good but the service is terrible. Ive been still waiting the service to fix it.

Refrigerator was purchased the first week in July and delivered the third week of July. Although there were some initial issues with freezing and frost the technician was able to remedy the situation quickly. With that being said I am very pleased with the function of the refrigerator however I am not pleased with the quality of the shelves trim. The white trim on the shelves is already scratched black because of a dish that may have been dragged across it to be taken out of the refrigerator

we bought a french door refrigerator approximately two months ago. we are happy with it but we do have suggestions: 1 the ice/water dispenser should have a funnel/cover to prevent ice from dropping on the floor. 2 the ice/water dispenser should have something to catch any ice particles that fall inside the ice/water dispenser. 3 both doors should be self closing. 4 both doors should be slow close: they should not slam. 5 the bolts that fasten the doors to refrigerator body should be covered to give the interior a more finished appearance.

Worst Purchase Ever -LG 4 Door Refrigerator

Purchasing the LG 4 door refrigerator has been the biggest mistake and nightmare. The LG refrigerator ice maker stopped working after 10 months. A few months after that the freezer froze over - I was told to empty the fridge and defrost which did bring the freezer compartment back to a working condition. It was just a pain to defrost then wait 24-48 hours to restock the refrigerator. Then last month the refrigerator compartment went out. I noticed food was smelling bad and we put a thermometer in the fridge to get a temperature reading- it was high 40s - 50s. The refrigerator is less than two years old and Ive had three different issues with it already. Weve had to live out of ice chests each time as the refrigerator sat empty and not working. Ive been dealing with LG and Costco Concierge to find a solution. LG sent over three different appliance repair companies to repair the problem. The first company was the LG tech he installed a new fan compartment behind the freezer drawers and when he finished he said I could put my groceries back in the fridge. The next day the fridge was not working again. All my groceries were spoiled. LG then sent over a second company that company stated the refrigerator had a factory defect and they could not fix the problem. That still wasnt good enough for LG who proceeded to send out the third company to see if they could repair the refrigerator. Again the third company stated the refrigerator was not repairable. After waiting for each repair company and documenting five typed pages of the three repair companies LG reps and Costco Concierge reps I had spoken with Costco is going to provide a solution. NOT LG COSTCO. I would NOT recommend a LG 4 door refrigerator to ANYONE. First reason being the lack of quality control the company has AND second the staff they hire that just give the customer the runaround with each conversation while providing no solutions. Plus LG refused to provide any amount of food loss compensation. Thank goodness for Costcos extended warranty and their helpful staff that realized this situation needed to be corrected. Buyer beware.

I bought this product almost 5 years ago and it served us well until it didnt. It stopped working 3 weeks ago and Im concerned that we had two repair technicians from two different service centers repair our refrigerator but it didnt resolve the issue. Our refrigerator would not drop below 40 degrees. To get a service man resulted in having to wait 24-48 hrs each time for them to find someone qualified to repair LG refrigerators. Then once they found one they typically wanted to delay the appointment to order parts before they even saw the refrigerator. I ended up having to use the no lemon policy in our extended warranty to get a reimbursement on the price of the refrigerator and I used that to purchase my new one different brand that is scheduled for delivery today.
